I want to unroot my Verizon SCH-I545, will the new Android 4.4 update remove root?

Hi,

I friend rooted my phone yesterday mad and now that I am reading up on it, it looks like I don't want root anymore. I'm not very technical and don't want to attempt to flash a stock ROM onto it. Will the update to android 4.4 remove root access?

99% of updates break root. the carriers do it on purpose just to p1ss us off. the chances are very slim you will still be rooted afterwards.

Thanks for letting me know that. Now all I have to do is wait for Verizon to push the updates.
