Icon question

Can anyone tell me if the Razr notifies of new text messages on the actual icon itself? I had a Samsung Galaxy S2 and when I received new messages, there was a little number on the corner. Right now, I have to look to the top of my screen to check if I have any new notifications. Is that a setting issue or does Razr not offer that option at all? Thanks

No it does not but if you get Launcher Pro you can have missed calls, unread sms and unread GMail's display over the icon. Perhaps another launcher(s) offer the same option and somebody can weigh in on that.

Other than that it's not native to Android

when I hold the power button donw I get choice of power off, sleep or airplane but at the bottom of that are 3 more icons

a diagonal line icon like this /------a vibrate icon------and what looks like an alarm bell
when the "/" is touched I get that in my status bar
when vibrate is pushed that replaces the /

what are those Icons???

Those are quick selects for your volume, the far left is completely silent, the middle is vibrate, and the far right is full sound.
