Icons in my status bar

I have a music note icon and some type of target icon up there. What are these?

Pull down the notification bar and you'll probably see what they are.

Not sure about the target icon but the music not is usually only there if you have music playing in the background.

The target icon indicates that you have your GPS set for location and not 911 only.

other than the music app, the other music note is crossed off if you have your phone volume off....

It is missing the location icon (crosshairs). I am trying to find a way to get rid of it. If it is always going to be there, then I don't want it to take up space and make the bar feel so cluttered. An annoyance of mine.

Not so sure if it will work for this, but if I pull the notifications bar down, I hit clear and it clears the task bar of icons.

It doesnt appear in either list and the guy @ verizon didnt know either =.= O well, I am about to factory reset my phone anyways because it doesnt seem to want to pick up 3G and I have tried everything else. Ill take a picture from another camera and try to upload it soon so you guys can see for yourself.

The ear icon has to do with hearing aids setting.

Settings/Call/ Hearing aide. uncheck it.

Took me a while to find it also, wasn't in the books.

target symbol in status bar cant be removed?

hey i have the same symbol as the orig. poster constantly in my status bar. In the chart someone posted my symbol is the one that means "location setting off" but there is also a symbol for location setting on....
so does this mean there will always be some kind of obnoxious target symbol there?
that seems really ridiculous and redundant...right?

and under settings-location-
it says E911 location cannot be turned off....
does that seem weird?

If your 3G isn't working, try turning airplane mode on and off. It's been a weird glitch happening with FroYo.
