ICS has been Rooted on the Droid GSM and CDMA Droid RAZR!

Root has been Officially achieved on both GSM and CDMA versions of the Motorola Droid RAZR thanks to the work of XDA member "hacker812c". Right off the bat I will note that this method is not an easy one click method. The method is simple enough and only requires limited knowledge of CMD, or atleast the ability to follow directions. It is great to see that the device has been rooted so quickly! Now if only we could get this bootloader situation worked out!

Can a Verizon CDMA be hacked to work as GSM? I would like that to buy a sim card from straight talk and put on straight talk.

auto and manual doesn't work for me, says device not found. fix: had to download the newer drivers, MotorolaDeviceManager_2.2.17 now it sees it but the auto script crashes and reboots the phone. USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. Canada Limited manual doesn't seem want to work, can't access the phone's sd card while its in media mode through command prompt.
