ICS is stupid with media cards

My Amazon MP3 just updated and accordingly is now automatically sending songs I purchased to my phone, which is fine. However, I don't want them in my internal storage, but on the SD card. So I move them with Root Explorer, but the only way to get the media indexer to recognize the move is to reboot the phone. SD Rescan from the Play Store no longer works since the ICS upgrade and even unmounting and remounting the card doesn't cut it.

Is there any other way to refresh the media index without rebooting, or am I stuck?
