ICS or Root?

New to the rooting process and not entirely sure if I should attempt (with the support of a friend who has rooted all of his droids) a root now or wait until after the ICS update comes to my phone. A Droid X2 by the way. Was wondering what the community thought.

Go ahead and root it.

You can always revert your phone back to stock in order to receive an OTA update. Assuming we ever get an update in the future.

Most likely wont receive an ics update unfortunately .. there are a few different roms out for the x2 that are nice sister site has more info and rs there to assist you if you run into troubles
