ICS OTA update issue

I just checked for an OTA update and found a firmware update to "prepare your phone for ice cream sandwich". Problem i'm running into is that when i reboot to install, it boots into clockwork recovery and fails to install. Is there a way to turn off clockwork recovery?

You need to run one of the RUU's to knock out CWM. I do not believe anyone released stock recovery by itself.

So, just so I understand this correctly, there is no way to uninstall CWM recovery. Instead I have to flash a ROM so that I can get the ICS OTA update?

The ruu isn't a rom its the default stock Android "rom" that comes on the phone

Got an update. I'm a little hesitant to flash the RUU, so i did some more searching and found that sometimes the issue is the boot loader needs to be locked. So i re-locked the bootloader, and now it's rebooting into the bootloader after the ota download. Forgot to mention before, I'm stock rooted with amon-ra recovery. In your opinion, do I still need to flash the ruu, and is it GB or ICS? Thanks for your help
