Ics ota

I would like to know how many people that have gotten the ics ota??? All I have been reading about on here recently is about how everyone has gone to some web site and downloaded the zip file. Has it not been released to people yet or are people just saying I want it now and going around verizon? Is it any risks involved in downloading the file and is it worth not waiting for the ota to come over the air??? Thanks!

There's already a handful of threads on this. Yes, if you don't want to wait the .zip is the way to go but if you don't feel comfortable then wait for the OTA. Guys have reported "soft bricks" doing the .zip but there are instructions on the bottom of the page guiding you thru the steps to have a working phone again.
