if I root will I get better wifi?

Ever since I manually updated 2.2, my wifi has been worthless to say the least. So my question is if I was to root would this help my wifi, or is it an internal issue? Newbie here, so any help will do... Thanks​

root only gives you superuser access. doesn't change how any app will do its job...

maybe try a factory reset to see if that fixes your wifi issues
