If you've been thinking about replacement home screens. Or if you have a busy home screen or need more screen real estate, you ought to look at Apps Organizer.
It is simply labeled folders with pre-provided icons. Simple but effective.

I'm not sure I prefer having many, many home screens. A few are cool and I know there is the home screen looping some replacements offer but I was reading on the forum the other day about Apps Organizer and got to looking at it. Its a nice utility for organization.

I do like home++ because of its handling of limited home screen space as well.

So don't get too down about the delay of 2.1. If you really want the new gallery you can download it. But IF the driving interest for you is home screens, you really ought to look at Apps Organizer. Probably ought to look at it before experimenting with replacement home screens simply because it is sooo simple.

App Organizer gets my thumbs up.

I also use Apps Organizer, I barely have any straight-to-app shortcuts on my screens, i prefer having them in the organizer folders.

And to stay on-topic, Apps Organizer is super convenient, especially if used alongside Home++. The dockbar has tons of shortcuts to many important services, saving on real estate. So with Home++ and Apps Organizer, you can still have one-click access to a lot of stuff, while keeping your less important apps grouped into folders.
