Ok Guys/ Gals...
I am new to this forum and new to all this Android lingo stufff.. I have had my DX for couple months and love it... I wanna learn more..
What is all this Root, SBF, gingerbread mumbo jumbo...
Anyone will to teach lol.. I wanna know what the heck you all talking about..

Thanks

Root allows you to uninstall bloatware, run custom files and get system permission to do what you want with your phone. SBF is flashing a .sbf file on your phone when you mess it up so bad it won't work.

Bloatware would be the extra apps that come preloaded on your phone that you do not use but can not remove. Root would allow you to take care of these apps.

And to continue to answer your question, which is very broad, I would recommend you go to the sections that I am going to link you to. There are a number of guides that you should take some time to read up on, in fact in the rescue squad section there is a terminology dictionary for android related stuff.

Here are the links:
Rescue Squad Guides
Hacking Help

No problem!

And I hope you didn't get the impression from me that I didn't want to help with more info. There are some really good how tos and informative reads in those sections. Its a great place to get a start. But of you ever have more questions don't hesitate to ask.
