I'm sorry but I'm confused...

As far as wallpapers go, I download a 854x480 image to my phone go to set as wallpaper, crop it, and now that nice crisp high quality image I was looking at is big and blurry once set. Am I missing something. I see other people post screen shots of their phone with unique wallpapers and it does not look that way...

The resolution is supposed to be 960x854… when you scroll between home screens, the image scrolls left and right a little (try it on one of the default screens)
