Impossible Mission? Finding remote pics using tags.

I have way too many pics (~70GB and growing) to put on my phone, so I use MotoCast to access them on my computer. If I'm on my computer looking for a picture of, say, my dog, I use Picasa and type in the tag: Buddy. Voila! An embarrassing number of pictures of a dog that's only 3 years old.

But if I'm on my phone using MotoCast to access those pictures, obviously searching by tags doesn't work. I can access them by folders, but my folders are created by date so that's not a very feasible way to find photos.

Am I the only one wishing there were a better way to access my photos remotely or is there some other way to do it that I'm not aware of?

I hear you there, I use Google drive and store unimportant stuff on the cloud.

I won't store family photos on it though.

So using a remote access app to access your own hard drive is definitely the better answer... perhaps they'll refine the app soon?

I'm used to just browsing folders as I have thousands of photo & most don't have tags as I mainly shoot with a DSLR & don't bother adding them.

I do hate that I takes forever for the thumbnails to load, I have an excellent memory & can usually remember which folder the picture I'm looking for is by the folder thumbnail made by one of the other pictures from that day. My my memory how ever isn't food enough to remember the date ever photo was taken or what the image file name is.

I also shoot everything in RAW & can't see any pictures that haven't been converted, since motocast won't use a RAW codec & the apps that do won't browse my motocast folders, most of them won't even browse my SD-ext.
