When you go to about settings, about phone, status what does it say there for your battery? If it's charged and gives a normal reading, I'd get rid of the app. Or are you saying this is on the regular battery display?

Probably just a glitch. Try turning off and on. If that does not work try a battery pull. I'm sure one of those will fix it.

yea... just unlocked my phone and looked my the time and the battery had a question mark, i re started and now its fine but i was wondering what happened if anyone has had this happen....

I just had this happen the other day. In the notification bar, the question mark in the battery.

When it happened, I openex voice dialer and got to "battery information"

Only thing I thought was strange and might explain it there was, where it says status and usually says discharging or charging, it said unknown.

This happened when my battery was fairly low, but went away when I plugged it in.

Hope that shines a LITTLE light on what's up. IMO, that ? means battery status is currently unknown.

I'm having the same issue, only its not charging, is always unknown (plugged in and when unplugged for 2 sec's before it dies), and has been happening for a while now (3 days), and neither a battery pull, nor a restart fix it. Non-Rooted, running 2.2.

Bad Power Supply

Turns out this problem is caused by a bad power supply, and assuming your still under warranty, verizon will replace your phone for free.
