I'm new to the Droid community and I just got an Incredible.. the batter life seems quite short, a couple hours maybe. Any thoughts on how to increase this life span? I am thinking I am running an app that is sucking the life from the battery, ie, sat. wi-fi, or something.
I too have noticed a significantly shorter battery life compared to my previous HTC phone. One thing to note is this is smart phone so it is obviously going to be using a lot more resources than your previous phones that could perhaps last a couple days. A few things to do.
1. Advancted Task Killer to close applications running in the background that may be draining your battery
2. Use the power options widget and place it somewhere that is easily accessible. On the very right side of the tool bar is the brightness option, I turn it down low or medium whenever I know I'm not going to be doing something like messing around with a game or youtubing
3. Make sure your GPS function and Wi-Fi function is off whenever you don't need them (also can be toggled via power option widget).
Hope this helps, I noticed the short battery life, but when I started paying attention to these things I felt it kind of alleviated my battery life issue.
Also.. there are some apps out there that claim to maximize battery life. I personally haven't used any of them but you could make a new thread asking the forum if they have any suggestions on an application like this.
