So I've noticed that on random days, my phone will automatically restart itself. I searched on this forum, and most people who have been having this problem have the Droid X. Has anyone w/ the incredible have this happen or know what to do? I haven't 'hacked' into it or anything. Just installed a couple apps, no task/app killer or anything.

Any advice?

I have it happen every so often. Tried to figure out the ryhme or reason this happens. I've notice other owners have experienced this but no real solution. Hopefully any update we can get will eventually fix this issue.

It happened to me again today. Twice in about an hour and a half. The first time was around 2:00p (EST), second at 3:05p. Is this a network thing somehow?

I've read in other posts regarding this issue that it may be network.

I had one that was doing it about 8 times a day, had to exchange it, lucky for me I was in my first 30 and so i got a brand new one out of the box.

this happened to me as well, but it happened about a week ago at the same time I think.

it got me all excited thinking it was the 2.2 update, but alas, i was tricked.

that was the only time it's happened so far. just random

Mine did this and I called CSR and asked. They said I had too much stuff going and it was a memory dump. I installed adavanced task cleaner and have not had another issue. People told me to never use a app killer but it solved my issue

HTC Incredible Reboot when Calendar is killed

My HTC Incredible reboots after killing some apps. I occasionally kill apps manually and upon returning to the main screen, my phone would reboot. It also reboots on its own, but only once in a while. This was becoming very annoying.

I suspected that I was killing off some process that was needed and my phone reboots in order to restart or reset that process. So I started to kill off processes one by one to see which and when my phone would reboot.

It turns out that Calendar is the culprit. I tried this many times. Every time I kill off Calendar, by phone reboots. I now have Calendar on my Ignore List. I'll be monitoring my phone for reboots over the next few days.

Hope this helps.

Might have a fix

I have had my phone since 12-2010 and had the same problem. I have not hacked or have done anything cray to the phone. When i installed open home 6 and while it was running instead of the HTC scenes i did not have ANY random restarts or shut downs. Now once i turned the HTC scenes back on it has started again so i'm sticking with open home 6 for now until HTC sends out an update. Good Luck hope it helps.dancedroid

mine does it 2 or 3 times a week, i only got 3 apps installed. not only that the battery drains in a few hours, according to the phone it spends 85% of time without a signal. im thinking about selling this on ebay and getting something else.
