Indie Game - Microchip Monsters

Hey Everybody,

After tuning my Android roguelike game for the past year I decided to take a break and work on a more casual game.

Released it a couple of weeks ago in the Android Market. It's called Microchip Monsters and is a casual/arcade hybrid. Gameplay has some Peggle-like elements, but I can't help thinking it looks like some sort of futuristic Tron-ish pinball game.

The game has a stage-based mode (unlock next as you go) and since I'm into roguelikes, a "Rogue" mode with procedurally generated levels.

Here's the free version (with ads) and the full version (unlimited Rogue stages).

Other indie Android devs may be interested in the soundtrack code (which is how I kept the game size down pretty low) using a port of tracker music player libmodplug.

Give it a try!

I added 30 more stages to the game, so the paid version now has a total of 60 stages with a final boss fight. The free version has stages 1-35.

Here's a video showing some of the new enemies (yellow guys that run away from the probe).

The game got a small writeup on IndieGames.com last month.

In the OP I mentioned the libmodplug port: there's now a small demo app to show some of the tricks you can do with it (mostly interesting to other indie devs).
