Inline mic controls

So, I just got some headphones with an inline mic that has a one button control. It plays and pauses the music, I haven't been able to get it to actually pick up the phone though. Double clicking is supposed to skip to the next song, but it doesn't work. I actually thought it didn't work at all, but when I long press the button, it turns on party shuffle. I thought it was skipping to the next song, but really it was just creating the party shuffle playlist and playing it. Does anyone know of an app or some way to get these controls working the way they should? Or a way to customize them?
