When running custom rom's and kernels what becomes of the install.zip's? I had to run once for sbf recovery, once for Cyanogenmod and again for Slayher kernel. I would imagine that once ran the zip file is expanded and no longer shows as zip?

Say I want to run a new rom through rom manager, all previous information / data is cleared from SD about prior rom and mods?

After you run an update.zip it is still there until you overwrite, move or delete it. Only time they go away is if its an update downloaded OTA from verizon.

I have a custom recovery image and am running cyanogen6.1.2. Would my setting still wiped? I was under the belief that I would stop getting OTA updates.
