Installing kernels

Hi. There isn't a section under the sapphire page about how to install kernels. I assume it is the same update.zip process as the rom and themes. My question is, do I need to do a full wipe and reinstall every time I change kernels.

This will be the first time I've changed kernels and I want to know what to do.
I'm going to try the new (old) kernel in 1.1, but if I don't like it I want to know how to go back to the 125-1000.

So full wipe? wipe cache? how do I do it?

What tparker said, but to get the 125-1000 back you can just flash a 125-1000 kernel.
