Internal storage

I seem to be running out of internal storage space at an unreasonable rate.

I've never paid much attention till today when I started wondering with all of my apps and backups how much space I have left.

Well when I looked earlier in the day I had 105mb, after flashing a new rom and creating a backup I'm now down to 39mb. This seems really low to me.

How do you all manage your internal storage?

I'm wondering if I have too many backups but I was told that they are saved on the SD card so what's going on with my internal storage?

I just let the OS handle it....

Not sure why a new ROM would take up so much additional space. Did you clear cache and everything before/after installing the ROM? Also, how many apps do you have installed? They installed to internal memory by default. With 2.2 you can now move some apps to the SD.

Likewise, and move any apps that i can over to the sd card, that seems to help.
