International plan and rates?

So I am heading on a cruise to Bermuda and want to keep up my work email. Maybe check twice a day in case of any fires I need to hop in on.

Is there a way to shut off voice and SMS msgs but keep data on?

Also how does the data plan work with the nexus here? Do I pay extra or what?
