The International version of the Samsung Galaxy S III is now available to purchase. The global version launched today in 28 countries around the world, with the carrier specific U.S. versions as the only holdout. Here's a recap of specs for this amazing superphone:
  • Quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor
  • 4.7-inch 720p HD display
  • 8-megapixel camera
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Folks in the U.S. can order the International version of the phone, but would be limited by carriers that can use the global radios. There is still no word on when the U.S. carrier branded versions will be available, but the current "rumint" suggests sometime in June or July at the latest.

DROID RAZR MAXXIMIZED!!!! XPARENT BLUE!!!

I thought I read a while back that Verizon may get rid of the physical home button. Any confirmation or update on this? This will be a dealbreaker for me as I have a disability and a physical button will not be doable.

Why does the US feel like the red headed step child when it comes to awesome phones lately? We seem to be the last to be getting them.

The US severly lags behind in civilian wireless tech in many ways :(.
