Leaving for Germany and France on Sunday and will travel with my newly acquired S4. I will call Verizon to get their international plan for the month as I need my phone number and some data while I am over there. So is it as simple as going into Settings -> More Networks -> Mobile Networks-> Network Mode and switch from LTE/CDMA to Global? Or do I switch it to GSM/UMTS? Then everything should work??On a related note, both my kids have iPhones (4S and 5). Do I ask Verizon for an unlock code so they can just buy a cheap access card locally for data and sending text messages? That's all they use their phones for anyway and I don't want to get the international plan for 2 more phones given that text messages are still expensive. Thanks!!
