Iphone does Droid doesn't???

I was with my Iphone buddy today and he did something that I couldn't seem to do. He went into his maps put find location and he sent me a txt and it had all his info of where he was and a link to google maps I clicked on the link and it gave me directions to his house. Then he proceeded to talk trash on what a P.O.S. the droid is. Please tell me there is a way to do this because I cant stand him sending me everywhere he is now and asking me to send back where I am.

I looked through the forum to try to find this subject so sorry if it has been posted already.

Thanks,
Mike

The function is called geo-tagging or geo-location, and yes google latitude will do it.

There is also a geo-location feature for twitdroid if you use twitter.

I'm sure there are other apps out there for geo-tagging a regular text message.

edit: with latitude, it one-ups your friend because you don't even have to send him anything. He can just log on the google and see where you're at any time he wants too (as long as you have your latitude enabled)

There is an APP called "I am here" or something like that. It sends someone your GPS location. Not sure if it can be used for tagging.

Latitude does this on all phones, not just the Droid. My old Blackberry could do it and the iPhone can as well.

Yep, I'm aware, but it sounds like his friend isn't...so that's why it works. :)
