iPhone Headhphones

I've read somewhere that the iPhone headphones work perfect on a Droid. I borrowed my dad's and the controls and mic do nothing. Is there anyone out there that got them working some how?

the jack is *allegedly* output only...or so i was told by VZW, but we know how much they know.
but i wonder why my phone can tell the difference between if the headset is with or without the mic....look and u can see....earbuds only just the lil pic of a walkman thing.....plug the iPod/iPhone earbuds+mic in....boom, operator headset (think Britney Spears )

it does cause me to wonder....

but its yet to allow the person im on the phone with hear me

don't htink controllers works.

I got an ipod shuffle adapter for my car which is essentially the controller, and it didn't work with the Droid.

They work, I use mine all the time with my Droid. During calls it'll mute and unmute. When listening to music it'll play/pause.
