IRC issues

I've had my X for about a week now and at first IRC worked great (used FireIRC Client) and when I had it tethered to my laptop via PDAnet I could connect to any IRC server.

Well that all ended a couple days ago, now I can not get any available client from the marketplace to connect to a server on IRC and my laptop wont connect to them either. Every other aspect of the internet works fine.

Anyone else having this issue or maybe a solution??

I'm able to connect to freenode just fine, only irc network I ever find hard to connect to every so often is rizon but that's because rizon fails anyways
