Is 300mhz the minimum clock speed?

I upgraded to a Droid 2 from an Eris (ha) a few months back, and I've been really impressed with it. Anyway, I decided to root a few weeks ago, and I subsequently installed Jrummy's Droid overclock app. After some finagling, I've got a stable 1.2 ghz overclock, and an idle clock of 300mhz at 20 volts. I'd like to get the idle clock down a bit more. I saw that the original Droid could clock down to 125, but every time I try anything lower than 300, it stays at the next highest clock. For example, if I have slot 1 set at 125 and slot 2 set to 400, it never goes to 125. Is this just a limitation of the hardware, or can software change this?

I have often wondered the same thing. It would be nice to go below 300. Are you running a custom rom or kernal to get 1.2 with the overclock app?

You shouldn't go below 300Mhz. The same goes for you shouldn't go above 1400/1450Mhz. It's just risky and you're putting your phone at risk by doing that.

300 is what I would recommend to be the min clockspeed, On the D1 or OGDroid we ran into awakening the phone from sleep at 125. So as I built kernels I adjusted the min speed to 300 with a slightly lower voltage to enable the phone a smooth awakening.

Wow didn't know under 300 was that bad. I am oc'ed to 1.15 and a min of 400. Guess ill stay right where I'm at
