Is anyone concerned about the entire front being glass with no Gorilla Glass?

Brand names really mean nothing anymore it has fortified glass. Most company's will make a great product to build a great name then sell to the highest bider then the new company cut quality to save money and now you have a crappy expensive product. Not saying Gorilla glass has done this but this is why i dont trust brand names.Just wish Samsung would tell us what type of fortified glass this is.

I'm not bashing it - I just want to know how scratch resistant it is before buying. Why is Samsung being so quiet about it.

HTC does not use true gorilla glass. Motorola does, however, and I believe Samsung does as well. I've tossed my OG Droid out of the car window going 75 and it hit the rumble strip. The top frame around the glass was impacted pretty hard, and you saw the shiny metal gouges. The glass was completely intact, even at the impact edge. I wish the whole thing was made of it, it is crazy tough.

The answer is 42.
Oh, wait, you mean to tell me you need to know the question now?
Well, I can't answer that.

I posted this in the a thread in the RAZR section but I will post it here

It looks like Samsung and Cornings have teamed up and created http://samsungcorning.com/

So the glass on the Galaxy Nexus could be better then Gorilla glass.

The Droid can fly out of a car at 75 with no scratch, yet I've seen many come out of a pocket or purse with keys all scratched up... go figure.

And personally, I've gotten so used to the feel of a screen with a Zagg on it that I do that every time. Normal screen feels too smooth now... I know, weird.

Yeah my cousin's droid screen is scratched to hell because he didn't use a screen protector, mines perfect from my Seidio screen protector.

If Samsung and Corning developed something better don't you think it would be announced as a feature?
