Is "Data on while roaming" a bad idea?

Will I be charged extra for using data while roaming? I noticed the setting on my phone and it defaults to on. I'm on Verizon.

Not sure what you plan is...but a simple call to verizon might be helpful for you.....

If you're on a Nation Wide plan, there is no roaming. The only chance of that is if you're near Canada or Mexico but should be no problem getting a credit if you weren't actually there.
