Is it possible to flash ROMs too often?

This has had me curious for quite some time, and I finally just decided to see if anyone had any theories. I did search and didn't find this answered before, so if it has been please let me know.

Every couple weeks or so I get bored with whatever ROM I am running and end up flashing 2-3 ROMs in a single night to get something new that I like. I have been wondering, though, if this is causing undue stress on the internal memory of my droid by reading and writing so much information so frequently.

Thoughts?

i would kind of like to know this too.
i doubt it would really. swap would hurt it, but a couple times every two weeks would probably take a while to hurt it.
i dont know though

It's flash memory....IIRC it's has a cycle of about 10,000 +/- cycles....

so that puts 3 roms a day 365 days a year, thats only 1095 a year at that rate how could anyone ever flash to much. Do kernels and and other update.zip factor in to that or not. Either way if you flash that much chances are you don't keep phones for mor then a year or so.

So very unlikely that I will burn anything out before my NE2 comes up... Sweet :)

Thank you!

Well, not permanent damage... but I managed to break Rom Manager trying to switch Roms... I love trying out new roms as well... Wish someone could fix my RM!

Too much rom editing and flashing may cause BRAIN damage tho... maybe even some eye problems.. haha
