Is my Droid dead???

I have had my Droid for right at a year with very little problems. Last night, I went into ROM Manager to load a new ROM. When I woke up, all I saw was the "M" logo on the phone screen. I have done everything I know to do to get it to show something other than the M logo. I have removed the battery, hooked it up to my computer, etc... could someone help me? This is the only phone I have and I won't have money for a new one until next month. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't mind restoring a backup, but like I said...all I get no matter what I do is the M logo or just a blank screen??? Like I said, I have never had a problem with this Droid, so am at a loss as to what to do.

When I hold X and try to power it on, it doe nothing. I am not exactly sure what you mean by "SBF" it. If you mean plugging it into the computer and loading a rom that way, I tried that...but it doesn't seem to turn on?? I really hope my phone isn't completely dead.

I got one of those off of Peter Alfonso's site...however, I can't seem to be able to flash it? I downloaded the rsdlite program, but it won't let me flash it.

Does rsd lite recognize your phone? Did you install the correct drivers for your pc? Are you in the bootloader?

The problem is that it won't come up at all when I hook it up to my computer...it used to come up, but now it won't. Therefore, RSD Lite won't recognize it. I am beginning to think that the battery is completely dead...which would be odd as I haven't noticed the lifespan of the battery getting shorter lately.

To use an SBF file you need to get into the bootloader on your phone, take out the battery, put it back in, then hold up on the D-pad while turning on your phone, it should say bootloader and a few other things i cant remember off the top of my head, after this plug it in and RSD lite should recognize your phone. if your battery died then theres not much you can do. Go to a verizon store and see if they will let you trade the battery for a partially charged one or if they have a droid you can use to charge your battery, also ask any of your friends if any of them have a droid to borrow a battery. Dead battery = no flashing
