Was trying to load the new update using the loading by zip on my sd card. Well when I did the steps the unzipping failed so i rebooted the phone now it will not go [ast the motorola screen at startup.

turn it off and then plug it into the wall charger. see if you get anything then.

it might be a failed update because you had a low battery... remember how much u had when it rebooted after the update downloaded?

Update didnt get to install. The default updater wasnt working. So i tried the To install the above files you need to follow these directions:

1) boot phone into recovery
2) go to mounts and storage
3) format system
4) mount system
5) install zip from sdcard
6) choose zip from sdcard
7) find and install zip
8) reboot your device
method from TBH & MyDroidWorld Present: Droid 2 (2.3.20) Triple Threat

But when my phone tried to install the zip, it failed so i stopped. Battery was above 50% this whole time. Ive tried x+Power and did a factory reset. Nothing happened

was it custom recovery that you tried to install it in or stock recovery?

cant you try to install it again?

was in the bootstrap one. No because it doesnt get past the motorola logo on startup. I cant do anything

if nothings working for you id say youre gonna have to flash the SBF to get back to stock..

need to be running as admin, have the proper drivers, maybe change the device id i think its called in RSD..

Done it all, ran as admin, went to motorola site and downloaded drivers, changed the setting to first come first serve....Nothing.

First of all, try not to let your battery die - when you aren't actually doing the SBF process, have the battery out - the phone won't charge if there is no software loaded. Last night, my battery died in the middle of an SBF. I actually had to dissect an extra USB cable and "tie" the wires to the battery terminals so that the phone thought it had a charged battery.

Next, follow the directions at the following link (you'll need a blank DVD and a DVD burner):
[TOOL] sbf Flashing in Linux for Windows with Ubuntu Live CD - xda-developers

IMO, this is much easier and works much more consistently than RSD lite.

Edit: Don't worry too much... if it will turn on, you can usually make it work.

Flashing in linux with sbf_flash also has issues flashing the baseband partition so 4#$ )ite is a better bet in most cases of a hosed phone.
