Is the G3 a world phone?

Either I suck at searching, or it's just not noted--can anyone tell me if the G3 is a "world phone"? Can I take it from the U.S. on CDMA to Europe and drop in a new SIM card so it'll work on their GSM networks?

It's time to retire the S4, I think. Wouldn't mind switching to a G3.
