Is there a quick way to end a call???

SURELY there is a way to do this. I'm on a call. Call ends. I need to quickly make another call and move on. Is there some setting so that I can just push one of the physical buttons on the side of the droid and end the call?

Right now I have to activate the touch screen to end a call. It takes two hands... sometimes I have to search for the screen... etc etc.

I just want to hang up quickly! Any ideas?

sorry, no hangup button. Might be an app.

And I can't resist......this might work, once:

Something is not right. When you pull the phone away from your ear the screen should light back up and there is a button to disconnect on the screen.

Do you have long hair? If so this could be causing a problem with the proximity sensor. Just try pushing your hair out of the way when on a call if that's the case and it should work fine.

If that's not the case then you may have an issue with your Droid.

Oh, man... this is so not right!! I need to be queen of the universe so I can rectify this.

I just know that some day, I'm going to be on a call and express some sort of frustration while the other party still has not hung up. Better start taking more yoga so I can calm down, I guess.

Unless you manually leave the call screen during the call, it will still be on the call screen when you finish the call. Pull the phone away from your face and click the big button in the middle of the screen. Another way to help prevent saying something after your call that you don't want the other party to mistakingly hear is to enable "vibrate on end" so you will know when and only when the call has terminated. And yoga is good, too.

I'm on 2.1 and don't have the power button option, either.

For others in my boat, this is not totally ideal, but it will work:

Get these apps: Button Shortcut - Android app on AppBrain and ToggleAir - Android app on AppBrain

Then, assign ToggleAir to the the camera button using Button Shortcut, and you can end your call with a long-press of the camera button (since going into airplane mode will cut off the cellular radio) -- just make sure to long-press the camera button again to bring back cellular service immediately afterward.
