is there a way to change ICS unlock screen?

Does anyone know of a way to change 1 of the options on the unlock screen? What I would like to do is change the text option to be an option for the browser.

I disabled the stock messaging app, and Handcent shows up on my lock screen

Yep. The default app for dialer, text messaging, and camera will show up on the lockscreen. Unless you already have a different app set as the default, the stock applications for those three tasks will be used. Once you set a different app as the default app (and disabling a stock app will make a third-party app the default app), that's what will show up on the lockscreen.

I disabled the stock messaging app and handcent appeared on my lock screen, but I couldn't send or receive texts, and it disappeared from the bottom of the home screen, so I enabled it and it's still gone from the home screen

Second the recommendation of WidgetLocker... and if you are rooted (although this is not necessary), you can enable the root options which make its handling of overriding the stock lock screen even more seamless.

Go to apps soft touch then select widgets and scroll until you see handcent then press and hold then drag to your main screen and place it where text used to be.....

What am I to notice, at the bottom?

I saw Camera, Apps, People, & Phone.
Mine, after installing ICS tonight, shows an addition that I hope will help with the lock screen but I haven't had time to work with it as yet. I wondered if you meant the line next to bottom which is not clear enough to tell what is represented.

How do you disable stock text messaging app? Every time I access the text icon from lock screen, it still uses the stock app. I currently am using GoSMS pro as my messaging app.

Long press the icon for the stock messaging app (either in the app drawer or on your home screen), and then drag it to the top where it says "More options." Tap App info on the pop up. From there, tap Disable on the top right. This will freeze the app, preventing it from running, and it will remove it from your app drawer. You can disable almost all of the stock apps and bloatware this way.

I disabled the stock texting app to use GoSMS but now I don't receive mms messages. Any work around to have GoSms on lock screen and as the default messeging app?

Force Go SMS to Handle MMS

In Go SMS, there's a setting that forces GO to handle MMS delivery (instead of stock). Navigate to Settings > Advanced tab > Important Tips > and check "Stock SMS uninstalled". This will allow you to have stock disabled (triggering go on the lock screen) and still receive MMS just fine. dancedroid
