is there a way to edit the dictionary?

It keeps changing mispellings of they to thy. I just want to remove that word entirely from the dictionary because william shakespeare doesn't text

LOL! I wish for the same thing. OR, when I accidentally mistype "fir" instead of "for" - I'd like to be able to remove "fir" from the dictionary and set to to autocorrect. Truly effin' maddening.

Go to settings > language and keyboard > user dictionary

That does me no good. I need to remove the DEFAULT entries not my entries.

I think it learns from what you type. The more you type one word, the closer to the front of the list it pushes it...

I don't think so. I use the swype keyboard and it says that if i hit the 'swype' key and highlight a work and manually type it in, it will learn that is what I want, but it never sticks.

Gotcha. I use the multi-touch keyboard so that may be why mine acts differently

ive had this problem too. theres so many words it comes up with that i would never use and its frustrating as hell
