is there a way to turn off vibrate?

is there a way to turn it off for all functions, including apps?
i have a motorola droid 3.

what profile? where is it? i went to the sounds setting and turned vibrate off but it still vibrates when i use apps

Sorry, ignore that, it was spam. But as far as your question goes, when you are in sound settings try turning off "haptic feedback" and that should take care of the vibrating problem.

Beautiful! It worked. I wanted the vibrate off because I figure the vibrations can't be good for the hardware. Am I being goofy?
