I am unable to download my most-used app since I upgraded my phone to 2.1. I have contacted the company, thinking it was a compatibility issue. Well, no. They're response was:
So my question for anyone who can answer is can I do this since I used a leaked version or am I just out of luck? There are also other apps that I can't get and I'm assuming it's because of the same issue.
Help?
We understand that there is an issue with new devices/operating system
updates and applications that are copy-protected (like ours). Essentially,
the device manufacturer (in this instance HTC) is supposed to send the
device's footprint signature to Google for the "Google copy protection" to
work, and until this has been resolved Calorie Counter (and all apps that
have "copy-protection") will not show up in searches for a new
device/operating system updates.
So if you'd like to try and speed up resolution of the issue you can do two
things:
1. Contact Google:
Contact Us - Android Market Help
isher and inform them that the footprint for your device (provide specific
device information) needs to be processed by the market, and you are unable
to get the application from the market because it is not processed.
2. Contact HTC: HTC Mobile Phones - Customer Service - E-mail Support and tell them the same
thing; that you can't get the application and that you need the device's
footprint submitted to Google Android market as you can't get the
application.
