Issues installing custom ROM "Sapphire" latest version: Status 7

I can't find anything online aside from setting my system file permission to read/write, which I cannot figure out how to do.

Every time I try to install Sapphire through the Clockwork Recovery, the install immediately fails with the "status 7" error.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I did some extra looking, and I think I've found a fix; apparently, the latest version of Clockwork doesn't play well with it. I'm gonna give it a shot after my battery charges up a bit more.

EDIT 2: That did it! Delete, please.

I use ROM Manager and flash to 2.0.1.3 and Sapphire installed with no issues.

really guys!?! the first thread under cvpcs's forum is sticky'd and clearly reads "Sapphire 0.8.4 install information"...you searched the entire internet yet didn't bother checking the ROM devs forum right here at "Droid Forums." Sorry for coming off kinda rude but i mean really, u really looked?

Important information for users of Clockwork recovery: right now only version 2.0.1.3 or earlier is supported for installing Sapphire. In some instances even this doesn't work, in these cases you will need to flash SP recovery to install.

thanks so much guys, I REALLY APPRECIATED IT...LIKE I'VE FLASHED TO PREVIOUS VERSION. AND THE ROM IS RUNNING BUT MY SUPERUSER APP IS GONE, AND NOW I CAN'T GIVE MY ROOTED APPS PERMISSION TO WRK.. I REALLY APPLICATE ANY ANSWERS YOU GUYS HAVE...sometimes this stuff just goes right over my head...lol

Wait, so your running Sappire but you lost your root access? That is strange...

Have you tried rebooting the phone? Or wiping data & cache?

OK, are you using SPRecovery or Clokwork Recovery?
