iTunes HQ movies to DX + HDMI out????????????????

ok, so i have the hdmi cable and PERFECT setup to output movies from my DX to my HDTV. BUT, all of the movies that aren't in iTunes format (and blocked by DVM) are TERRIBLE quality when i put them on the big TV. How can I put my iTunes purchased HQ movies on my droid x? I have about 12 movies purchased on itunes, it would be perfect to be able to hdmi them out to my big tv Please help, if you have tried this or don't think i should, please give me your opinions!
