Just curious, how stable is CM10? Isn't it still on nightly releases?

Should be very stable. Nightly builds are just people tweaking it over and over again I believe.

just my two cents. CM 10.0 is very stable which is 4.1.2, CM 10.1 which is still in fact in the nightly phase is still buggy and its 4.2.1. anything for GSG3 running 4.2.1 is buggy yet but the devs are working hard everyday!

Cm 10 is the top rom right now. Although I'm not running it at the moment

CM 10.1 nightlies are running pretty good. You can view the changelogs and see what is being done. Most important, make sure you you flash the right one(s) specific to your carrier.

To the OP of this thread, if you are interested in any of what we are discussing and have never rooted a device before, please read thoroughly before flashing anything. Also if you are thinking of running a 4.2.1 custom ROM please backup your IMEI before hand. There have been issues with losing it, causing a loss of SMS and calling abilities.

Honestly I have no idea. I've heard possibly when the S4 comes out, but with big red you never know as they tend to hold updates longer than any other carrier.

There is no guarantee we will ever see 4.2 on S3. It's an incremental upgrade that is more about new cosmetic features than anything else. Most of which will not be the same when integrated into touchwiz.

Im sorry WestOkid for taking so long to respond.It's very stable to be on nightlies.Ill get a flicker here and there,but no major problems.I'd suggest you give it a test drive,there's a 30 day return policy

CM doesn't add anything that stock doesn't have, does it, such as multi window or anything? It's all internal and minor cosmetic tweaks?

I think we will get 4.2. From past experience, I estimate end of Q3-end of Q4.
