Juice defender location triggers

Does anyone know how juice defender stores the location trigger information for enabling wifi? How large is the radius in which it looks for a network? The reason this matters to me is because I attend a university and I want to use the on campus wifi whenever possible. The ssid covers approximately 1sq mile. Also, my city has free wifi which covers approximately 30sq miles under another ssid. I would like to use these networks whenever possible, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with juice defender dealing with wifi networks that cover large areas with multiple access points.
