K9 is REALLY slow and crashes a LOT

Running on Thunderbolt, K9 crashes, runs s-l-o-w....

What else can I do? Any fixes?

Do you need it for Exchange email? If so, I highly recommend Touchdown. The best $19 I ever spent!

Has it always run slow or is this recent? If this is a recent thing, check which apps you recently downloaded and see if you can pick out one that may be causing problems. Otherwise I would uninstall, shut the phone down, turn it back on and let everything load, then install it again. On another note, are you using a POP3 or IMAP based account?

If it's POP3, consider using or making a GMail account and set it up so that your POP3 email can be fetched via GMail. It'll push messages to you more quickly, won't take up space on your phone like regular POP3, and you can set it up so that multiple accounts are fetched by the same email address.

K-9 doesn't usually work slowly and that's coming from someone who had it on two much slower phones. Hope this helps.
