Kernel for the D2G

I'm still kinda new to the rooting thing and I've recently rooted my D2G with fission and I was wondering if there was any kernels for it and if there are any othere roms I can use and if so we can I find them and info on them thank you all for the help

Welcome to the forums! There are no kernels because of the locked bootloader, but roms you can find here: Droid 2 Global Roms - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum
There's only one or two that I know of, AngelRom and Fenom Beta.

You can also use some D2 roms like Liberty, with the help of the Get R Done Romer tool.

How well do the non D2G ROM's run with Get R Done ROMMer tool? I have read some mixed results, and was thinking of just running Fission ROM and putting a nice replacement launcher on it.

Fission 2.4.3 also works with the D2G and it is fully functional. Angel and Fenom rom are both also very stable and pretty fast. I really liked the customization of liberty but the main problem is that the sensors dont work. Its not a huge deal, i actually liked it somewhat because the autotilt was kind of annoying. But overall, its all about personal preference. Worst case, flash it and see if you like it. If not, then change to something else. Its all about what you want.
