Keyboard Issues

I have a rooted Motorola Droid 2.

Android Version: 2.2
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-g462500f dbretxm1@il93lnxdroid22 #1
Build number: VZW

I just started having an issue with my keyboard. I don't know what I did that caused it. I was forwarding a message using Gmail. I was trying to type some additional text in the message, and it started having these symptoms:

Anytime I would press "b" it would go to the browser.
Anytime I would press "l" it would go to the calendar.

None of these were pressed in combination with any other key.

I backed out of the programs that the keystrokes took me to, but it continued to do it. I tried going to the home screen. I tried locking and unlocking. But to no avail.

The problem fixed itself after a shift-alt-del restart.

(I searched for this problem but found nothing, hence my post)

Those are the standard quick shortcuts but they must be pressed in combination with the search button on the keyboard. I guess its possible that your phone flipped out and thought that the search key was being pressed. At least a reboot fixed it.
