Keyboard issues

Just got a droidx as a warranty replacement. Keyboard is insanely slow and I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong with the phone because all touchscreen functions seem to be off. Any suggestions for a keyboard to download?

Note: I did not use the physical keyboard on my droid 2

I downloaded SwiftKey from the amazon app store. It was free so I figured I would give it a try. Definitely better thaan the stock keyboar.
