So like most people I read a ton of reviews and lurked around this forum well before I bought my Droid. I saw plenty of people mentioning that the physical keyboard was bad and virtually unusable since it was flat. I'm a big guy with huge hands and I can honestly say that I have no problems using the slide out keyboard. I have used the old Blackberry and to me this is similar. I can mange with the virtual keyboard but the slide out is IMO much easier. I dont find the flatness of it to be an issue at all.
Overall I love my Droid. Great call quality (I've only had it one day so far) and limitless posibility!!
