I had a Droid X back in November, back then I knew nothing about rooting, custom ROMs, etc. I got the Incredible in December and learned a whole lot about custom ROMs and the like.
Well now I am going back to the Droid X (don't worry I made up my mind this time) and well, what's this about a locked Bootloader? I know Motorola was cool and made it so if you hacked it, the phone would "self-destruct", never to turn on again.
I also feel like the DX is way easier to brick than the Dinc, since whenever I screw something up I just run the RUU on my computer and restore the Dinc to factory ROM. Is the DX easier to brick in your opinion?
And how do custom ROMs work with the DX, same as Dinc, or with restrictions?
