The Razr HD has not been in the spotlight since its bootloader was unlocked several months ago. The latest development for this device by developer DHacker is newsworthy for sure. He has put together a build of Android 4.4 Kit Kat for the Droid RAZR HD! According to DHacker pretty much everything is functioning in this rom including mobile data, wifi, tethering, bluetooth, camera, and so far no major bugs have been found. All the important stuff seems to be working. If you would like to give this rom a shot head to the source link where you will find the rom and the gapps.

Do I need to have an unlocked boot loader? Are you going to make a how to video?

Yes you need an unlocked bootloader. Same as all the other AOSP ROMs. Make a bacup in TWRP or CWM, wipe system, wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flash rom, flash gapps, reboot.

Please, Let me be sure about something. If I make a backup in TWRP and things don't work properly, I can use that TWRP backup to get my phone exactly how it was before I tried the new ROM?
The reason I ask is this is my daily driver.

It looks like this is for the xt925 and the xt926 is the Verizon version. So, I would assume it will not work with the Verizon version.

What version of android are you coming from before 4.4?

I would be coming from 4.1.2 Unlocked and Rooted. But, it's a Verizon XT926, which is not the correct phone for this ROM.

If you follow dhacker on twitter he has a ROM for the x925, x926 ,and for the RAZR m, with links to rootzwiki for all of the ROMs.
It might be easier to follow the threads he has set up over there.

I really wish someone would figure a way to unlock the bootloader for someone like me (idiot)....lol who downloaded the July update without realizing I would be virtually done updating a phone that wasn't even a year old!!!! Verizon is really pushing me further and further away for when my contract is up.

After much gnashing of teeth and tense moments, I finally unlocked (via Moto official) and installed this rom.

Works great, except my notification light is always lit green when plugged into USB, even with LightFlow installed.

Anybody know what version of twrp is required for this? I'm currently running 2.5.0.0

Found the new version of twrp. How does one go about upgrading from my older version?
